Chris Rittersdorf
Software Craftsman
Chris got his degree in Computer Science from Kettering University and has been programming since 2003. His thoughtfulness and insight come from years of fearless tinkering and an open mind about every experience, especially mistakes. Given to experimentation, he discovered Ruby on Rails while branching out from the basic requirements of his senior thesis. His professional life developed naturally from there.
Chris worked initially as an in-house developer for two web-based businesses before moving to a development firm, where he stayed until coming to Mutually Human. During this time, Chris gained extensive experience in Test Driven and Behavior Driven Development, which is a process he still follows today. Chris is a great listener who believes in working collaboratively and developing openly with both clients and colleagues. He is an asset to any team.
In his spare time, Chris enjoys the work of gritty realist artists coming out of Los Angeles, like author Charles Bukowski and singer/songwriter Tom Waits. He is also a fan of his wife, Sarah, and, to a lesser degree, their two cats. His blog can be found at manlyco.de.
